Citylife is partnering with our denomination’s missions agency, Mission to North America Disaster Response, to help support the relief work in response to damages caused by both Hurricane Harvey and Hurricane Irma this past month. MNA works through a network of relief providers coming alongside local churches and mission organizations in the affected areas. Funding is needed for mobilization of assessment teams, setting up short-term and long-term recovery sites that will host volunteers, supplies and equipment purchases, the transportation of urgently needed relief supplies, and financial grants for stabilization of homes belonging to our members and church physical plants.
Over the next two weeks, we will be collecting a special offering at our Boston and Chestnut Hill campus to give towards the relief efforts of MNA in response to Hurricane Irma. We will collect our first offering at our Chestnut Hill campus on Sunday (9/17) and our second offering at our Boston campus on Sunday (9/24). You can also give online here. Funds will be given to MNA to be used for assessment, mobilization, relief grants for flooded PCA families and churches, to purchase needed supplies and equipment, to construct Sheds of Hope, and to setup and operate flood recovery sites.
Other ways to support MNA Disaster Response relief efforts include:
- Pray for relief from the storm damage and for those being rescued and affected by the storm.
- Send relief supplies & equipment.
